At Adwo, we understand that the memories you store on our platform are among your most personal, precious possessions. We built this app to help you cherish your life's moments, and protecting the privacy of your content is at the core of everything we do. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use Adwo, and outlines your full rights over your content and personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to deliver, improve, and secure your Adwo experience, including:
1.1 Content You Provide To Us
- All photos, videos, and audio files you import from your device library, or capture directly through Adwo's in-app camera and microphone (we only access these features with your explicit permission)
- Custom captions, tags, notes, storybook layouts, and organizational settings you add to your memory collections
- Account information you choose to provide (if you create an optional account), including your email address and profile name
1.2 Automatic Usage Data
- Anonymous app performance data, including feature usage frequency, crash reports, and load times, to help us improve Adwo's functionality
- Basic device information (operating system version, device model) to ensure compatibility with our app
- Non-identifiable preference data to customize your in-app experience, such as your preferred storybook template styles
We never scan, analyze, or view your private photo, video, or audio content for any purpose other than the functionality you explicitly request (such as rendering your storybooks or syncing your content across devices).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to provide and improve the Adwo service:
- Store, sync, and render your personalized storybooks and memory collections
- Enable editing, sharing, and export features for your content as you request
- Provide customer support if you encounter issues with the app
- Fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features based on user behavior patterns (all usage data for these purposes is anonymized and not linked to your personal identity)
- Send you important service updates, such as policy changes or security notifications
We will never use your personal data or private content to serve you targeted advertisements, or build profiles about you for commercial purposes outside of the Adwo service.
3. Information Sharing And Disclosure
We will never sell, rent, or license your personal data or private media content to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- When you actively choose to share a storybook or specific memory content with other users or external platforms: you retain full control over what content is shared and with whom
- With trusted service providers who perform essential services on our behalf, including secure cloud storage providers, hosting services, and customer support tools. All our service providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements, and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than delivering services to Adwo and our users
- When required by a valid legal request from a competent governmental authority, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Adwo, our users, or the general public
4. Your Rights Over Your Data
You retain full ownership of all media content, storybooks, and memory data you store on Adwo. You have the right to:
- Access all your stored content at any time directly through the app
- Download a full export of all your data, including original quality photos, videos, and storybook layouts, at no cost
- Edit, delete, or modify any of your content or account information whenever you choose
- Revoke any permissions you previously granted (camera, microphone, storage access) through your device settings (note that this may limit your ability to use certain Adwo features)
- Request permanent deletion of your entire account and all associated data, which will be completed within 30 days of your request, with no residual copies retained except as required by applicable legal obligations
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including:
- End-to-end encryption for all content transfers between your device and our servers
- AES 256-bit encryption for all stored media content and personal information
- Regular security audits and penetration testing of our systems
- Restricted access to user data, limited only to authorized Adwo personnel who require access to perform their job duties
While we take all reasonable precautions to protect your data, no digital storage system or transmission method is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. We will notify you immediately in the event of any data breach that affects your personal information.
6. Age Limitations
Adwo is intended for use by users aged 13 and above, or above the applicable age of digital consent in your region. We do not intentionally collect personal data from users below this age without verifiable parental or guardian approval. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will immediately delete all such data.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, operational practices, or applicable legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes at least 30 days before the new policy takes effect, via in-app notification or email to the address associated with your account.
